Embracing History: Our ‘Wall Walk’ Workshop Reflections

In July 2023, our amazing team participated in the enlightening ‘Wall Walk’ workshop. This unique experience deepened our collective awareness of key events in Aotearoa’s history. We were joined by carers, youth workers, Board members, and friends from different organisations.

Each team member presented a 6-minute topic on New Zealand’s history, which brought a mix of nerves and excitement, yielding valuable knowledge. We were surprised by the depth of some events, fostering understanding and empathy for Aotearoa’s struggles and triumphs.

We are grateful for the opportunity to grow as individuals and as a team, and we remain committed to continuing our journey of learning and promoting awareness of our country’s history. Together, we can make a positive impact and build a brighter future for all in Aotearoa.
